Oh yes my friends it seems that a new Tak game is headed for Nintendo Wii. Using all new “parkour” style of gameplay, players will be running on walls, sliding down poles, and swinging on vines to navigate action-packed levels. I love the Tak games (In-fact my girlfriend introduced them to me hah.) and i have always been a fan of rich 3d environments, so when i first heard this was for the Wii and ps2 i was a bit upset.  The Wii is fun and all but the game if produced for the 360 or ps3 would have been awesome looking im sure, however with a little thought its easy to see that the Wii/ps2 combo was picked for the pure demographic of users. it would have been a bad financial decision to avoid the Wii for this game. With a core demo of Nickelodeon kids….where better to go?

Plot:

Dr. Wily is back! This time, the nefarious scientist has blamed Mega Man’s creator, Dr. Light, as the cause of a recent robot attack. It is up to Mega Man to prove Dr. Light innocent and stop Wily once again!

As usual, there are 8 new Robot Masters for Mega Man to fight. This time, they are Magma Man, Galaxy Man, Jewel Man, Concrete Man, Hornet Man, Plug Man, Tornado Man and Splash Woman. Defeating each Robot Master will give you possession over their weapon, which in turn is the weakness of another Robot Master. Which one? You’ll have to figure that out!

Of course, to get to each Robot Master, Mega Man must first traverse an obstacle-filled course which is themed after its boss. For example, Tornado Man’s stage takes place high in the skies, while Magma Man’s stage is filled with fire and other dangerous hot stuff. Some minor enemies from previous games will of course return in some of these stages!

Mega Man 9 is being created with the first 6 games in the series in mind - The game will feature 8-bit graphics, music and sound effects. There will also be a shop like in Mega Man 7, 8 and Mega Man & Bass. The game will not heavily feature or require charge shots and sliding, though we expect that you will be able to use them!

Sega announced a new game just a few days before E3. It’s a “consolified” RTS named Stormrise being developed by the Australian studio of Creative Assembly, and the main novelty is the ability to have units in the vertical plan, be it in the sky, on the rooftops or even under the ground. It’s supposed to be released sometime in 2009 on PS3 and Xbox 360, and you’ll can watch it here courtesy of GameTrailers.com right here on Epic Wins!
